The perfect Cretan experience.
Kabana, or in proper Greek Καμπάνα, means (church)bell and refers to the beautiful bells in the tower of the church opposite the house. It used to be a ‘kafeneion’, a coffee house, and later turned into a house for families to live in for many years. The kafeneion was replaced to the part underneath Kabana and stayed there until 2019.
In 2022 Kabana was completely renovated and re-decorated to meet the standards of a comfortable and stylish home. It can accommodate up to 4 persons with two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds.
The kitchen has everything you need and more! Since I love to cook myself I made sure that those who would love to prepare some local dishes are met in their needs.
The spacious bathroom has a rainshower and there is a washing machine.

Selliá
Kabana is located in Sellia, a village at the south coast of Crete, the biggest island of Greece. It is still an unspoiled part of Crete and can easily be accessed by car, taxi or public transport.
Enjoy a stroll in the morning, following the narrow streets straight from Kabana to the main square to buy your local produced yogurt and cheese or fresh bread from the local supermarket. There is variety of very good taverna’s, both traditional and modern, all in walking distance. Want to experience some Greek night life? In the village of Plakias, just 10 minutes away by car you will find nice bars, more taverna’s, shops and other services.
The area is wellknown for it’s more than stunning views. Perfect for beautiful hikes, both for beginners and for more experienced. Explore the rough and charming countryside by car and oh! all those different beaches… just come and see for yourself! I am sure at the end of your stay you will promise me to come back!
